The Permanent Collection

The Little Art Gallery is home to a permanent collection of original art by area artists and artists whose work has had an impact on our artistic community. In 1944, the Little Art Gallery acquired the first piece of its permanent collection, donated by the Women’s Club of North Canton. Since then, the collection has grown to include more than 200 pieces.

The oldest piece in our on-site collection is “Flowers on Bible”, by artist Ferdinand A. Brader. This piece was created in 1892 and was acquisitioned by the Little Art Gallery in 2015, in conjunction with the exhibit “The Legacy of Ferdinand A. Brader.”

About the Little Art Gallery

The Little Art Gallery’s permanent collection has grown to include more than 200 pieces, while a new fine art exhibit opens every six to eight weeks. Additionally, public art classes are available for students of all ages.
